We have arrived!
Bleary eyed and a bit stumbly we made our way through the airport and jumped on the train to Bangkok.
It was humid and there was a lot of carrying of extremely heavy suitcases up and down stairs in the hot.
Laura was struggling (some might say she packed too much) and lovely lady offered to help her, she was tiny so we politely declined.
We made it to the Jasmine Resort Hotel, luckily right next to the Skyrail, and were greeted with an upgrade. Yay! Our room was a huge suite with sitting room and kitchen that overlooked the pool on the 8th floor.
After some map peering we decided to head out to try and find Park society (a cool roof top bar overlooking ... as the name suggests a park).
Back on the train and off at Nana we wondered through a total mix of market stalls, shack bars and restaurants and plush hotels.
After a bit of aimless wondering and getting lost Dave declared he urgently needed a beer so we ducked into a rainforest... well a bar that looked like a rain forest.
Lychee Martinis!
One drink lead to another, then another and finally a really nice dinner before we headed off to find Park Society.
We found the right hotel but it wasn't Park Society...but they had good drinks and a fantastic view of the city from an open air terrace on the 32nd floor!
We stayed until it shut and after a dodgy cab ride home we arrived back in our mega room, tired, pretty merry and very happy.
